Created by students in 2008, inside the ENIM engineering school (Metz, France), the ENIM Racing Team (ERT) is the student motorsport association of the school. The ERT is involved in designing and manufacturing vehicles intended to compete in national and international competitions. Within the last 3 years, ERT has designed, made and entered two vehicles into the national competition ‘Challenge SIA’ and a single-seat into the international competition ‘Formula SAE – Formula Student’. It should be noted that each vehicle was designed and manufactured within 10 months, all performing extremely well.
ENIM is a French mechanical engineering school located in Metz which provides an exceptional 5 year mechanical design and production course, it is a member of the group ENI, ‘Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs’ meaning ‘National Engineering School’ which has five schools in France .
Founded 25 years ago by the S.A.E. (Society of Automotive Engineers), the Formula Student challenge gives the students from all over the world the opportunity to develop their skills in design, manufacturing and marketing through a real exercise, which consist in designing a single seat sport car. Their final work is evaluated during nine major meetings located all over the world.
In 2011, ERT will continue in the Formula Student challenge and participate in three races in Europe: Györ (Hungary), Silverstone (UK) and Hockenheim (Germany).
