The MotoGP championship continued from Mugello, Italy for the sixth round of the series, it was a solid weekend for SHARK-men with championship points collected in both the MotoGP and Moto2 classes.
In MotoGP rookie Scott Redding picked up more points with a 13th place finish, but was left frustrated by a lack of straight line speed compared with his rivals. Redding made a good start early in the race chasing down other riders but the lack of top speed proved to be a major disadvantage. The young-Brit will now focus towards the next round of the championship in Barcelona, which will be another new track for him to learn.
Meanwhile in Moto2 Sam Lowes finished his sixth race in a superb eighth place, despite a bad start from the front row of the grid. Lowes walks away with eight points and is ninth in the overall standings with 33 points.
The MotoGP paddock will now move to Barcelona for the Spanish round of the championship on 13-15 June.
